HBO Max & Viu Bundle (“HBO Max & Viu Bundle”) Terms & Conditions (these “Terms & Conditions”):
- The HBO Max & Viu Bundle is available for subscription to all existing and new Viu members with a free or paid membership (“Eligible Subscribers”) at the relevant webpage(s) specified by us from time to time. Depending on your subscription to the relevant HBO Max & Viu Bundle (details set out below), you will enjoy access to both the relevant services provided by HBO Max (the “HBO Max Service”) and Viu (the “Viu Premium Service”).
- Eligible Subscribers can enjoy the following bundles:
a. 30-day HBO Max & Viu Bundle at SGD19.98 each 30-day period, which includes:
i. 30-day HBO Max Standard Plan (“30-day HBO Max Standard Plan”) (valued at SGD14.48), which provides 30-day access to HBO Max Service; and
ii. 30-day Viu Premium Service Plan (“30-day Viu Premium Service Plan”) (valued at SGD10.98), which provides 30-day access to Viu Premium Service; and
b. Annual HBO Max & Viu Bundle at SGD189.98 per year, which includes:
i. 365 -day HBO Max Standard Plan (“Annual HBO Max Standard Plan”) (valued at SGD129.98) which provides 365-day access to HBO Max Service; and
ii. 365-day Viu Premium Service Plan (“Annual Viu Premium Service Plan”) (valued at SGD107.76), which provides 365-day access to Viu Premium Service.
c. If you are a Viu Premium Service user subscribing to the relevant HBO Max & Viu Bundle, such subscription may alter your existing subscription plan in accordance with the details specified on the relevant webpage during your subscription to the HBO Max & Viu Bundle.
The “30-day HBO Max Standard Plan” and “Annual HBO Max Standard Plan” shall collectively be referred to as the “HBO Max Standard Plan” - Eligible Subscribers must pay directly via https://www.viu.com/hbomax-bundle for the HBO Max & Viu Bundle via PCCW OTT (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. (“Our Company”)’s authorized direct credit card/debit card payment gateway (“Third Party Payment Gateway”). Our Third Party Payment Gateway will charge the full amount against your credit card/debit card account at the time of subscription. The credit card/debit card account used for payment must be valid and functioning properly, otherwise your subscription will become invalid. Once your payment for the HBO Max & Viu Bundle completes, a confirmatory email concerning the transaction will be sent to you, and the paid service cannot be cancelled or refunded in any way.
- The HBO Max & Viu Bundle cannot be used in conjunction with other promotional offers and can only be subscribed to within Singapore. Our Company reserves the right to determine entitlement or eligibility of each Viu ID to purchase or use the HBO Max & Viu Bundle at its sole discretion.
- If you do not cancel your HBO Max & Viu Bundle via the relevant Viu.com webpage at least 24 hours before the day that your subscription to HBO Max & Viu Bundle expires, we will automatically charge you for the HBO Max & Viu Bundle at the fee you paid for the relevant bundle (or such other fees as may be published from time to time on the Viu website) on a recurring basis until you cancel your HBO Max & Viu Bundle.
- Your HBO Max & Viu Bundle subscription takes effect immediately after payment has been made. Please note:
a. Viu Premium Service will be automatically added to your Viu account and activated for use after the HBO Max & Viu Bundle subscription takes effect; and
b. HBO Max Standard Plan and HBO Max Service are provided by WarnerMedia Direct Asia Pacific, LLC (“HBO Max”). You are required to activate the HBO Max Standard Plan to use the HBO Max Service. To activate your HBO Max Standard Plan, you must access HBO Max’s website (www.hbomax.com) via Viu’s designated webpage link https://www.viu.com/ott/sg/en/member/plan to (a) create a new account; or (b) if you already have an existing account with HBO Max, log in your existing account (“HBO Max Account”) and follow the instructions for activation.
c. Any other HBO Max subscription(s) in your HBO Max Account may be stacked up with the HBO Max Standard Plan you subscribe via Viu. For any queries regarding your HBO Max Account, please contact HBO Max’s customer service directly. - You are responsible for safeguarding and protecting your Viu and HBO Max Account login name and password properly. Our Company shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered directly or indirectly as a result of and/or in relation to a lost or stolen account.
- Our Company is not the supplier of the HBO Max Standard Plan or the HBO Max Service (collectively, “HBO Max’s Products and Services”) and makes no warranty (both express and implied), representation or guarantee in relation to the HBO Max’s Products and Services (including but not limited to their quality or merchantability), and accepts no liability for any matters arising from or in relation to the HBO Max’s Products and Services. Details about the content, supported devices and specifications of HBO Max’s Products and Services are subject to HBO Max’s latest announcement on HBO Max’s website (accessed via https://www.hbomax.com) and/or App and HBO Max’s terms and conditions, including but not limited to the HBO Max Terms of Service (accessed via https://www.hbomax.com/terms-of-use/en-apac) (“HBO Max T&Cs”). Our Company shall not be responsible for any liability, loss, or damage (either directly or indirectly) incurred from or in connection with the contents, the downloading of the HBO Max App and/or use of HBO Max’s Products and Services.
- Viu Premium Service and HBO Max Service can only be used for your own personal and non-commercial use in the country where you subscribe for the HBO Max & Viu Bundle. The contents offered by Viu Premium Service and HBO Max Service in different countries may vary and are subject to change from time to time.
- By signing up/subscribing to the HBO Max & Viu Bundle, you (a) are deemed to have agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, Viu Terms & Conditions (which includes Terms of Use and Account Terms and Conditions) and (b) understand and hereby agree that Our Company may use, and share with HBO Max, your personal data (provided by you during subscription of the HBO Max & Viu Bundle) (“Subscriber Data”) for the purposes in relation to the HBO Max & Viu Bundle and the provision of Viu Premium Service including but not limited to administering your subscription, activation, and use of the HBO Max & Viu Bundle and Viu Premium Service. You further understand and agree that any personal data and information collected by Our Company in connection with your subscription to and use of the HBO Max & Viu Bundle and Viu Premium Service, is collected, used, and/or disclosed in accordance with Our Company’s Privacy Statement (accessed via https://www.pccw.com/privacy-statement/index.page?locale=en). For the collection, use and/or disclosure of Subscriber Data by HBO Max, please refer to HBO Max’s privacy and data protection policies (accessed via https://www.hbomax.com/privacy/en-apac) and/or other relevant HBO Max T&Cs at HBO Max’s website and/or App.
- Our Company reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions, as well as to vary or terminate HBO Max & Viu Bundle, or any part thereof, without any prior notice. In the event of any dispute, decisions made by Our Company shall be final and binding.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Our Company, and/or any of our affiliates be liable to you for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, exemplary, punitive or consequential damages (including loss of use, data, business or profits) arising from, or in connection with, your subscription or use of the HBO Max & Viu Bundle, Viu Premium Service, and HBO Max Service, whether such liability arises from any claim based on contract, warranty, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise, and regardless of whether or not you have been advised in advance of the possibility of such loss or damage.
- Without affecting the generality of clause 12, the aggregate liability of Our Company and/or our affiliates owed to you in connection with the HBO Max & Viu Bundle shall not exceed the total monetary sum paid by you to Our Company for the HBO Max & Viu Bundle in the preceding twelve (12) months from the date when such dispute or claim or the first of various such disputes or claims (as the case may be) arises.
- You agree that the HBO Max & Viu Bundle and these Terms & Conditions are governed, interpreted and enforced by the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any and all legal actions, claims or proceedings arising from, or in connection with, the HBO Max & Viu Bundle and these Terms & Conditions must be brought to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Singapore.
- In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the English and Chinese (if any) versions of these Terms & Conditions, the English version shall prevail.
- Available only for direct-billed purchases via HBO Max and Viu. Access content from each service separately. Content, features and device compatibility varies by service.
